Job Title:
Mechanic / Equipment Installer Job Description
FIRST SHIFT
- Monday through Friday 7am-3:30pm This role focuses on installing and configuring specialized equipment on work trucks, including snow plows and ice control systems. You will use your mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and welding skills to perform custom installations, diagnostics, and repairs in a shop environment. Responsibilities Install a variety of equipment on work trucks, including snow plows and ice control systems, following specifications and work orders. Perform mechanical installations on trucks, ensuring all components fit correctly and operate safely. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams to plan and execute installations and modifications. Carry out MIG welding and fabrication tasks to mount, reinforce, and customize brackets, frames, and other components. Set up and service central hydraulic systems and full hydraulic configurations for truck-mounted equipment. Perform electrical work on 12V systems, including automotive wiring, routing, and connection of harnesses and controls. Conduct electrical diagnostic testing to identify and resolve issues with wiring, components, and control systems. Use hand tools and power tools to assemble, repair, and adjust mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components. Inspect completed installations to verify proper operation, safety, and alignment with technical requirements. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and welding-related issues on existing truck equipment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greeley, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
