Are you mechanically inclined with a passion for precision and problem-solving? Join our team at SelectTech as a Wire Harness Assembly Technician and put your skills to work building and maintaining critical electrical systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for planning layouts, installing, and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures, apparatus, and control equipment such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels. You'll fasten components in place with hand and power tools, ensuring technical accuracy and safety at every step. While assignments are not always standardized, you'll receive initial instructions and guidance from supervisors or engineers, with your work reviewed for technical adequacy and compliance with instructions. Key Responsibilities Plan new or modified electrical installations to minimize waste, allow for future maintenance, and meet local codes and specifications.
Install and perform functional testing of electrical components and systems per engineering specifications, drawings, and manuals-ensuring a defect-free system.
Demonstrate effective build and repair techniques, including splicing, soldering, and pinning of wiring.
Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.
Follow all company safety policies and regulations.
Adapt to additional duties as required (duties may change with or without notice). Qualifications High School Diploma required.
2+ years of relevant experience in electrical or cable fabrication.
Mechanically inclined with ability to use both hand and automated tools.
Ability to read and understand computer-generated prints.
Database experience in Excel preferred (not required).
Knowledge of Mil-Spec components preferred (not required).
Strong willingness to learn and grow within the role.
May be required to obtain a Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance depending on contract needs. Why Join SelectTech?
