Summary:
Our Precision Components division is looking for an Assembler to assemble aircraft component parts following operation sheets & blueprints using a variety of small hand tools and machinery.
Essential Functions:
Assemble complex aerospace components.

Inspect and verify quality of work when complete.

Using micrometers and calipers to verify work performed is conforming to BP toleranceFiles and buff part to fit.

Drill, tap, ream, countersink parts using a Bridgeport.

Positions and aligns parts.

Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together.

Disassemble and replace parts as required.

Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies.

Lift pieces and positions and secures it on a machine table or in holding fixtures.

Assist other assemblers and employees as required to meet production and safety requirements. Performs daily 6S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) activities in work areaPerform other related duties or responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related dataHigh School Degree or G.E.D1+ years of experience in assembly preferably in a Aerospace Manufacturing environment Desired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMust be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional levelAbility to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organizationAbility to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practicesAbility to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructionsMust have strong attention to detailAbility to travel domestically 10% max Physical Demands / Work Capacity EvaluationThe essential functions of this position may vary based on specific assignments, work locations, and operational needs.
