Full Job Description Job Description Job Summary:
Fiber Components and TEST Department in East Granby CT has a need for an Assembly and Test Technician to support the business. We are looking for an energetic and motivated person which will be challenged in manufacturing working with state-of-the art fiber assembly technology. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Work per work instructions- Assembling Optical Pieces and Testing Optical Fibers Document the manufacturing process as required Inspect parts/assemblies under microscope Perform basic equipment maintenance & calibration Troubleshoot equipment as needed Complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing Assist recommending solutions to technical problems May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment Assist engineers as needed Cross-training in other areas as needed Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience or practice executing delicate tasks with small, fragile parts Typically requires a minimum of 2+ years of related experience; basic knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through work experience.
Duration:
6 months, depending on performance Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. Corporate EHS standards.
