We are looking for detail-oriented and dependable individuals who take pride in craftsmanship and enjoy working with intricate assemblies requiring patience, precision, and close attention to detail. BMS Aerospace has been serving the Aerospace, Industrial Gas Turbine, Defense, and Commercial industries for over 40 years. With continued growth across our manufacturing operations, we are expanding our team to support complex, mission-critical hardware in a fast-paced and quality-driven environment. The technician will support torch soldering, minor assembly, manual tube bending, part preparation, cleaning, and related manufacturing operations. This work involves small aerospace and engine components where workmanship, cleanliness, fit-up, and documentation are critical. Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to): Perform precision torch soldering of intricate aerospace assemblies in accordance with approved work instructions and quality standards Use approved solder alloys, fluxes, cleaning methods, heat sources, and process controls Prepare parts for soldering and brazing, including cleaning, fitting, masking, fixture setup, and flux application Perform minor mechanical assembly of tubes, fittings, brackets, capillaries, and related hardware Perform manual tube bending and forming operations using hand tools, fixtures, and templates Fit components to required orientation, insertion depth, gap, and dimensional requirements before joining Read and follow engineering drawings, routers, visual standards, work instructions, and customer specifications Conduct visual inspection of solder joints and assemblies for fill, wetting, cleanliness, alignment, and workmanship Deburr, clean, rinse, dry, and prepare components before and after soldering operations Use basic measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, height gauges, and inspection fixtures Record job data, material lot information, process information, and production documentation accurately Identify and report damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming components before continuing work Work closely with supervisors, Quality, and Engineering to resolve fit-up or workmanship issues Maintain tools, fixtures, torches, benches, and cleaning equipment in safe working condition Maintain a clean and orderly work area appropriate for precision aerospace assembly Support cross-training in brazing, assembly, testing, cleaning, and other production operations as needed Meet production schedules without sacrificing workmanship or documentation quality Follow all safety, FAA, AS9100, ITAR, and company requirements
