Perform routine fabrication and/or assembly operation on metal and non-metallic parts. Follow prescribed procedures, drawings, operation sheets and other detail or oral instructions to assemble firewalls, ducts, tubes, and other standard subassemblies. Fabricate small detail parts, perform routine layout work as necessary and drill, grind, trim, saw, shear, punch nibble parts as required, using available hand, power tools, and machines in area. Perform minor bending or straightening operations, use clecos~ screws, bolts, clamps, etc., to secure parts to jigs or fixtures and shrink or stretch assemblies to obtain specified quality standards. Direct and instruct one or two helpers and assist higher grade workers in accordance with work assignments. Perform related duties as directed and refer all questionable conditions to higher grade worker or supervision.WHO WE ARE

Requires a knowledge of arithmetic involving the use of decimal and fractions and ability to read engineering drawings. Use of measuring instruments such as scale, micrometer, square, etc. and various available hand, power tools, and machines in areas. Requires H.S. diploma and/or equivalent degree.
