Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Assembly Technician to take ownership of the assembly process from start to finish. In this role, you will assemble fabricated parts and wiring, calibrate and test components, and ensure finished units meet quality and customer specifications. You'll work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment where safety, precision, and teamwork are essential. The ideal candidate is dependable, comfortable with repetitive work, and willing to support both assembly and warehouse operations to meet production and delivery deadlines. Position Responsibilities + Assemble fabricated parts, wiring and adjusting subassemblies to complete units. + Perform testing and quality assurance as assigned. + Receive, pull, and cycle count department inventory as assigned. + Effectively calibrate and test parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. + Use hand tools when necessary. + Pack finished product in designated cartons per customer order and department procedures. + Perform all functions of the job by correctly following instructions and pre-established guidelines and procedures. + Maintain a safe, orderly, and efficient assembly area. + Work closely with the warehouse, combining individual efforts to better serve the customer. When the assembly area is slow, provide support in the warehouse reporting to the warehouse supervisor. + Perform well under pressure and follow instructions in a repetitive environment to meet production deadlines. + Must work extended hours to meet delivery needs as needed. + Perform other duties as obvious or assigned. This is a Safety Sensitive Position + May be required to operate powered industrial trucks. + Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb. + Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies. + Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk.
