On-site Job Summary The Senior Manufacturing Assembler is responsible for assembling manufactured products in accordance with engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. With 5+ years of hands-on manufacturing experience, this role serves as a subject-matter expert on the production floor, supporting productivity, quality, and continuous improvement efforts while mentoring less experienced assemblers. Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble products and subassemblies using detailed work instructions, blueprints, schematics, and mechanical drawings
  • Perform complex and precision assembly operations requiring high accuracy and repeatability
  • Interpret bills of material (BOMs), routing instructions, and quality documentation
  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque tools, fixtures, and measurement devices safely and effectively
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure assemblies meet quality, safety, and performance standards
  • Identify, document, and escalate non-conformances or process issues
  • Support rework, repairs, and troubleshooting of assemblies as needed
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records
  • Follow all safety, EHS, and housekeeping (5S) standards
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior assemblers
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, standard work)
  • Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to resolve assembly issues
  • Support manufacturing schedule commitments by meeting productivity and delivery goals Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing, assembly, or production environment
  • Proven experience assembling mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical components
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions
  • Strong working knowledge of hand tools and assembly equipment
  • Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and gauges
  • Solid understanding of quality standards and defect prevention
  • Strong attention to detail and workmanship
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in regulated industries (aerospace or defense
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts
  • Experience working in an ERP or MES system
  • IPC, AS9100, ISO, or similar quality-system experience
  • Leadership or lead assembler experience Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to company-defined weight limits with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Manual dexterity and ability to perform fine motor tasks
  • Good vision (with or without corrective lenses) to inspect small components Work Environment Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to moving equipment, noise, and small parts.
Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. May involve occasional overtime or shift flexibility based on production needs.
