Assemblies can require controlled tooling as well as build to print. Tasks include aligning parts on jigs using both templates and fixtures. Drill close tolerance holes. Performs part-fitting operations such as minor filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, drilling, reaming, riveting, countersinking, and cold working. Measures parts with a variety of methods to verify dimensions. May modify incomplete and complete assemblies to incorporate changes and perform repairs. Works from blueprint diagrams, drawings, specifications, and shop orders. Monitors and verifies quality and develops corrective action. Performs corrosion inspection and repair per engineering requirements. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager as directed. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must have experience with use of hand tools (i.e. torque wrench, drills and inspection tools, riveting tools, and various other hand tools). Ability to read and interpret assembly Drawings or Instructions. Desired Skills Ability to work well in a team environment as well as be a self-starter Attention to detail. Focus on cost, quality, schedule and safety Aircraft Assembly experience Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License Pay Information Pay rate for this position is $18.85 - $31.44 per hour. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
