The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation and a strong understanding of construction practices. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures, ensuring high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Duties:
Cutting and Shaping Glass:
Fabricators use various tools and machines to cut, shape, and edge glass according to specific blueprints or customer specifications.
Handling and Storing Glass:
They carefully handle and store glass sheets and pieces, ensuring they are protected from damage and organized for efficient use. Handle heavy lifting of glass panels and other materials safely. Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper fitting and alignment of glass installations.
Quality Control:
Fabricators inspect glass for defects and ensure that the finished product meets quality standards.
Operating Machinery:
They operate automated glass cutting tables, polishing machines, and other equipment to fabricate glass products.
Reading Blueprints and Specifications:
Fabricators must be able to read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the size, shape, and type of glass needed for a project.
Inventory Management:
They may be involved in managing glass inventory, ensuring that the necessary materials are available for fabrication.
Safety Practices:
Fabricators must adhere to strict safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
General Housekeeping:
Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is also an important part of the job. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Forklift:
Must have experience with driving forklift and maintaining forklift. Bring in glass sheets with forklift as following safety policy.
Logistics:
Organize and load glass truck for out going deliveries.
Inventory:
Receiving of inventory and quality control on glass coming in and inventory count.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Ability to lift 110 lbs CNC operator is a plus! Machinery operator is a plus! Bilingual is a plus!
Requirements:
Must know how to use and read a measuring tape. Must under basic math Must have experience in windows, glass installer, or glass fabrication.
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
