Assembly Line Production Worker Job Description This role focuses on assembling seat components on a production line using basic hand and power tools in a modern, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. You will work on a fast-paced line, contribute to high-quality production, and support increased demand through regular overtime. Responsibilities Assemble seat components on a production line according to established procedures and quality standards. Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assembly tasks. Follow written and verbal instructions to ensure accurate and consistent assembly of parts. Stand for the duration of the shift while performing repetitive assembly tasks on the line. Maintain a steady work pace to meet production targets and daily output requirements. Inspect parts and assemblies visually to identify obvious defects or issues and report them promptly. Handle materials and components with care, without heavy lifting, to prevent damage or defects. Support mandatory weekly overtime as needed, typically working 50-60 hours per week. Adapt to shift changes, starting on first shift and transitioning to second shift as scheduled. Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of tools and equipment and adherence to facility rules. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards to support efficient production. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve basic production or assembly issues. Essential Skills Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how parts fit and work together. Experience using basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers. Experience using basic power tools in a production or similar environment. Ability to stand on your feet for the entire shift while performing repetitive tasks. Willingness and availability to work mandatory weekly overtime, approximately 50-60 hours per week. Ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety guidelines consistently. Comfort working in a fast-paced assembly or production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in assembly, production, or manufacturing assembly is beneficial. Experience working on an assembly line environment is an advantage.
