Job Title:
Assembler Job Description The Assembler is responsible for accurately assembling ACM flat panels, sky panels, and ceiling panels according to detailed part drawings. This role involves inspecting panels for defects, ensuring precise measurements and grain direction, and following established quality standards throughout the fabrication process. Responsibilities Assemble ACM flat panels, sky panels, and ceiling panels according to the part drawings provided, ensuring all specifications and details are followed. Verify panel measurements and confirm correct grain direction prior to assembly to maintain product quality and consistency. Inspect panels for scratches, dents, or other defects before beginning the assembly process and ensure only acceptable panels proceed. Sign off on the back of each panel once it has passed all established quality standards and checks. Maintain fabrication tables in a clean condition, blowing off debris after each panel is fabricated to prevent damage and ensure accuracy. Handle tools carefully during fabrication and avoid dropping tools on panels to prevent dents and other damage. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter at all times to support safe and efficient operations. Handle and move panels with care throughout the fabrication process, using team lifts to safely carry panels to the crating area. Lift and turn panels only on their edges to prevent bending, denting, or other damage. Prepare and maintain adequate levels of installation supplies at the fabrication table to support continuous production. Ensure panel bender tools remain in good condition and are configured so they do not dent or damage panels during fabrication. Perform various manual tasks in other departments as needed, based on workload and production demands. Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment safely and correctly during assembly and fabrication activities. Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines while working in the manufacturing and warehouse environment. Essential Skills Experience with mechanical assembly in a production or manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assemble panels accurately. Proficiency using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail when checking panel measurements, grain direction, and surface condition. Capability to perform general labor and assembly production tasks as assigned. Ability to handle materials carefully and follow proper lifting techniques, including team lifting. High school diploma or equivalent education. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in assembly production or packaging in a manufacturing or warehouse setting. Familiarity with mechanical concepts and basic troubleshooting of assembly issues. Willingness to cross-train and perform manual tasks in multiple departments as needed. Employees handle and move panels using proper lifting techniques and team lifts, and they are expected to keep their workstations and shared areas clean and organized to support safety and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cartersville, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
