GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Experience or training demonstring very basic working knowledge of the properties and characteristics of a number of composite and plastic bonding agents, such as fiberglass, Kevlar, PVC, graphite, film adhesive, silicones, epoxies, etc. and Low Observable (LO) merial characteristics; a very basic working knowledge of sheet metal theory, methods and practices; knowledge of very basic shop mhemics to calcule proportions and amount of merials required in repairing or modifying components; knowledge of and skill in the use of basic hand and powered tools common to the bonding operions as well as those utilized in the sheet metal trade; knowledge of health hazards associed with maintenance as well as proper mitigion procedures i.e. PPE, decontaminion, and housekeeping; and ability to learn new skills and apply them to work in this series.
WG-05 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have least 6 months of experience or training demonstring a working knowledge of the properties and characteristics of a number of composite and plastic bonding agents, such as fiberglass, Kevlar, PVC, graphite, film adhesive, silicones, epoxies, etc. and LO merial characteristics; working knowledge of sheet metal theory, methods and practices; knowledge of basic shop mhemics to calcule proportions and amount of merials required in repairing or modifying components; knowledge of and skill in the use of basic hand and powered tools common to the bonding operions as well as those utilized in the sheet metal trade; knowledge of health hazards associed with maintenance as well as proper mitigion procedures i.e. PPE, decontaminion, and housekeeping; ability to examine parts and items to loce defects; estime the amount of adhesive filler needed for a repair by approximing the depth, length, and width of the damaged area in inches and then estiming the amount of filler in grams; ability to repair irregularly shaped LO and composite merials th have been damaged; ability to bond LO merial, composites, and metals.
WG-07 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have least 12 months of experience or training demonstring a working knowledge of the properties and characteristics of a number of composite and plastic bonding agents, such as fiberglass, Kevlar, PVC, graphite, film adhesive, silicones, epoxies, etc. and LO merial characteristics; working knowledge of sheet metal theory, methods and practices; knowledge of basic shop mhemics to calcule proportions and amount of merials required in repairing or modifying components; knowledge of and skill in the use of basic hand and powered tools common to the bonding operions as well as those utilized in the sheet metal trade; knowledge of health hazards associed with maintenance as well as proper mitigion procedures i.e. PPE, decontaminion, and housekeeping; ability to examine parts and items to loce defects; estime the amount of adhesive filler needed for a repair by approximing the depth, length, and width of the damaged area in inches and then estiming the amount of filler in grams; ability to repair irregularly shaped LO and composite merials th have been damaged; ability to bond LO merial, composites, and metals.
WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE
Must have least 18 months of experience or training demonstring a practical thorough knowledge of the newest substances to recommend and/or select merials for prototype and one-time items. Composite Fabricors have an extensive knowledge of the properties and machining characteristics of a variety of composite or plastic merials. Extensive practical knowledge of the LO theory and practices with a direct influence to RCS reduction. Knowledge in adapting shop practices, methods, and procedures for use in unorthodox processes to fit new projects. Knowledge in establishing manufacturing procedures for newly developed compound merials by experimenting with various manufacturing techniques, curing times, irregular curvures (surfaces), temperures, and pressure. Knowledge in manufacturing master pterns and molds with numerous compound curves and intersecting compound angles. Knowledge in applying mhemics to calcule loads, fits, sizes, and weights not provided in instructions and blueprints to overcome design flaws and lay out more complex items. Broad knowledge in interactions between like and dislike chemical and other low observable merials to provide a coherent bond line action.

MILITARY TECHNICIAN COMPATIBILITY POSITION
Prior to placement in this position, the selected applicant must be assigned to an approprie military position and must meet the definition of a dual stus technician in accordance with 32 U
S C 709. PHYSICAL EFFORT
: Works long periods of time exerting self when bending, shaping, or constructing complex items. Duties regularly require extended periods of walking, climbing, standing, or bending while performing inspections or tedious repetitive maintenance tasks. Work may require prolonged tiring and uncomfortable positions. The worker may be required to lift heavy equipment and components weighing up to 50 pounds and with assistance up to 100 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS
: Majority of work performed is conducted in a typical aircraft maintenance facility. Periodic outside work is required to be performed on an active aircraft flight line without fall protection, subject to exposure to elements of weher. The individual is frequently exposed to potentially dangerous environments to include opering engines, hazardous noise, stored energy, RF radiion, and hazardous chemicals. The use of approprie clothing or personal protective equipment and strict adherence to work procedures is required to safely perform maintenance duties. Wear of full-face respirors, protective suits, rubber gloves, hearing protection, and other PPE is required. Wear of steel-toed boots is mandory. Incumbent works with hazardous/toxic chemical products such as paints, solvents, strippers, and adhesives, creing hazardous/flammable wastes and dust. Maintains compliance with established performance and safety standards and recommends work stoppage when hazards exceed the typical work environment. The worker is subject to any shift and irregular tours of duty.
