Job Description

The Planter (Field Crew/Packing Line Worker) plays a dual role in both the agricultural operations and the processing facility at Maui Gold. This position supports the complete lifecycle of pineapple production, from planting and harvesting in the fields to sorting, packing, and preparing fruit for distribution in the factory. Workers ensure that Maui Gold pineapples meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and freshness while preserving the company's reputation as Hawai'i's premium pineapple brand. Key Responsibilities Field Duties Perform planting, weeding, thinning, and general crop maintenance. Harvest pineapples with attention to quality and handling standards. Assist with irrigation, fertilization, and pest control tasks as directed. Operate basic agricultural tools and equipment (with training provided). Report crop or equipment issues to supervisors. Follow all farm safety protocols and contribute to field upkeep. Factory Duties Wash, sort, and grade pineapples according to size and quality. Operate or assist with conveyor lines and packing equipment. Pack pineapples for distribution. Maintain cleanliness of processing areas to meet food safety standards. Qualifications Previous farm or factory experience preferred, but not required (training provided). Ability to work outdoors (field) and indoors (factory) in varying conditions. Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, bending and standing for extended periods. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Willingness to rotate between field and factory duties as assigned. Commitment to following safety, quality, and food-handling protocols.
Pay:
19.14 per hour plus incentive pay based on planting metrics.
