Des Moines, IA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Fabrication Computer operation Basic math Construction plans Construction drawing review Desktop applications Computer skills Full Job Description Job Summary The Solid Surface Fabricators cut, shape, build and assemble solid surface countertops, thermo-form and clad vertical surfaces. Essential Functions Set up and operate a variety of machinery to complete the fabrication and/or assembly of projects. Read shop drawings to analyze the scope of the project. Availability to work overtime, as needed, to meet deadlines Report any defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead or Manager. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) correctly and safely. Follow the prescribed safety regulations Required Skills/Abilities Knowledge of materials, methods and tools required Ability to work with a team Ability to read blueprints Good mathematical skills Basic computer skills required Education and Experience High School Diploma or Equivalent Minimum of 5 years' experience in Custom Commercial fabrication required Physical Requirements Regularly require the ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach Regularly require the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds Periodically require the ability to lift a minimum of 80 pounds Travel Requirements None Other Duties The job description is an overview of the duties, responsibilities, and requirements of the position.
