Job Description

Assembler Job Description As an assembler, you will perform various assembly functions from start to finish. Your role includes advising team members of shortages or quality issues, inspecting each phase of the assembly to assure quality, and reading and following production lists. You will identify proper materials and follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions. The use of drills, screw guns, nail/staple guns, chop saws, routers, sanders, and various other tools and equipment is part of the assembly process. Responsibilities Advise team members of shortages and quality issues. Inspect each phase of assembly to assure quality. Read and follow production lists. Identify proper materials for assembly. Follow standard work, control plans, and written work instructions. Utilize various tools and equipment in the assembly process. Essential Skills Assembly and production experience. Ability to use hand tools and power tools. Basic reading and math skills. Ability to read a tape measure. Capability to lift 50+ lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Graduate/GED/HSED. Experience with mechanical assembly and construction. Familiarity with blueprints. Work Environment Work on the 1st shift from 5am to 3:30pm, or the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 2am, Monday through Thursday. There is potential for work on Fridays, either half or full day, confirmed early in the week. Enjoy two twelve-minute breaks and one thirty-minute lunch break. The facility is not air-conditioned, allowing for a flexible dress code; steel-toed shoes are required, while other attire should remain appropriate. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dubuque, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.20 - $22.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
