TrinityRail is proud to TrinityRail Maintenance Services, Inc. is searching for a talented team player to fill the open position of Senior Heavy Assembler, 1st & 2nd shift at our Shell Rock, IA office. Our products are an integral part of the supply chain that helps fuel our lives and our economy. Over the last 85 years, Trinity Industries has grown to over 6,000 employees strong with the common purpose of Delivering Goods, For the Good of All . What you'll do : Assemble fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies or complete units. Lay out reference points, position, align and fit together fabricated parts of metal or fiberglass mold according to blueprint and layout specifications fabrication. Utilize mechanical fastening (bolts, nuts, hucks) Apply appropriate torque sequence and values (certified) Read blueprints Operate overhead cranes Utilize hand tools to bend or form parts Follow all safety rules and practices Be involved in safety committees or initiatives, as needed Perform other duties as assigned What you'll need : Minimum of 2 year of experience Capable of manually applying torque up to 760 ft‑lbs in accordance with job requirements Ability to read and understand blueprints Experience using hand and power tools Reliable attendance and ability to work as part of a team
