Advanced Custom Cabinets, a Coeur d'Alene-based manufacturer of commercial architectural millwork and casework, is hiring an experienced Custom Cabinetry & Millwork Fabricator for our Customs Department. This is a senior bench position responsible for fabricating one-off and specialty assemblies — die walls, display cases, reception desks, conference paneling, custom hoods and architectural millwork.
The work is hands-on:
building from shop drawings, operating the full range of shop equipment, applying traditional joinery, and delivering finished assemblies to spec.

Physical Demand:
Moderate to Heavy — 50 lbs frequently, standing and operating woodworking equipment throughout the shift

Medical, dental, and vision insurance | 401(k) with matching | Paid vacation and PTO | Life insurance | Competitive pay based on experience What You Will Do Read shop drawings to understand specifications for each job Build custom cabinetry, casework, display cases, die walls, reception desks, conference paneling, custom hoods, and architectural millwork items from shop drawings to tight tolerances and quality standards Operate shop equipment — table saw, panel saw, beam saw, edge bander, router, dowel machine, jointer, planer, sanders, and hand tools Measure and verify dimensions, check tolerances, and match materials for color, grain, and texture before each assembly is released Work with solid wood, laminate, veneer, and solid surface Install hardware — hinges, drawer slides, pulls, locks, glass clips, brackets, and specialty fasteners as needed per job specifications Trim, sand, scrape, and prep assemblies for the finish department Coordinate with Engineering, Project Management, and shop leads on constructability questions and method changes Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times Work as part of a skilled, fast-moving team What We Are Looking For Minimum 5+ years as a Custom Cabinet Maker, Bench Carpenter, or Millwork Fabricator in a professional commercial millwork or cabinet shop Demonstrated experience building specialty work — die walls, display cases, reception desks, conference paneling, custom hoods, or comparable architectural millwork Strong ability to read architectural blueprints and shop drawings and build from them without hand-holding Skilled operation of cabinet shop equipment and hand tools Strong joinery skills; able to construct and use jigs and fixtures Working knowledge of cabinetry materials, hardware, finishes, and AWI standards Precision measurement, strong mechanical aptitude, detail-oriented, and self-directed Able to lift 50 lbs frequently and stand and work most of the shift; valid driver's license Must pass a background check and drug screen
