Job Description

Monday - Friday 1st Shift 6a - 2:30p
The Opportunity:
We're currently hiring an Operator, Assembly at our EMI Porta location in Arlington Heights, IL. This is a hands-on, fast-paced production role that's critical to our operations. If you're someone who takes pride in building things the right way, follows processes with precision, and thrives on being part of a hardworking team—we want to hear from you. You'll work closely with the Production Supervisor and your teammates to assemble mechanical components, troubleshoot issues, and help keep things moving smoothly. Every product you touch will end up in an elevator system we stand behind—quality and safety matter here.
What You'll Do:
Assemble components using hand tools, power tools, and machinery based on blueprints or instructions. Follow production schedules and hit daily output targets. Inspect your work for defects or inconsistencies—nothing leaves your station unless it's right. Work with teammates and supervisors to identify and resolve quality or process issues. Keep your workspace clean, organized, and safe. Report faulty equipment or materials to your supervisor. Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE as required. Pitch in on other duties as needed—we're all in this together.
What You Bring:
High school diploma or GED preferred 1 to 2 years of experience in a production or assembly environment (preferred, but we'll train the right person) Ability to lift up to 35 pounds safely and regularly Strong attention to detail—you take pride in getting it right Reliable attendance and a team-first attitude Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment Spanish/English bilingual skills are a plus
