Assembler

Job description: Adams Magnetic Products currently has an opening for a first shift (6:00AM to 2:30PM) Assembler I in our Elmhurst, IL location. This role builds a variety of simple to moderately complex magnetic assemblies, and conducts marking, packaging, and labeling of assemblies. Adams Magnetic Products has been engineering and manufacturing magnetic products since 1950. We are a custom manufacturer, fabricator, and distributor of all types of permanent magnets, magnetic assemblies, and devices: alnico, ceramic, flexible magnets, neodymium, samarium cobalt, rare earth, magnet assemblies, stock or custom. • Ability to read work orders and perform work as indicated.
• Build, test, calibrate components and/or assemblies to meet tolerances and product specifications.
• Use hand and power tools to build products to specifications.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Clean parts to established procedures.
• Clock in/out of production software, claiming completed and scrap pieces.
• Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes according to established procedures.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Place finished goods in the designated area.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Perform other functions as required.

Minimum Qualifications Required 1. High school diploma or

G.E.D. 2.

One to two years experience in manufacturing/production setting. 3. Ability to read, write and understand English. 4. Ability to work with small, delicate components. 5. Basic computer skills. 6. Ability to understand and follow safety procedures. 7. Must be Punctual and Reliable Physical Requirements/Additional Information 1. Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. 2. Ability to repeat motions that include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. 3.
