Hours worked over 40 per week are paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate. Role Overview BEPC is seeking a Production Operator to support aseptic filling, labeling, inspection, and production operations for our client in Abbott Park, IL. This is a hands-on manufacturing position in a regulated GMP/ISO environment and is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous pharmaceutical, medical device, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing experience. The selected candidate will train on 1st shift before transitioning to the regular 2nd-shift schedule of 2:00 PM-10:30 PM . In this role, you will operate, set up, shut down, and clean filling and labeling equipment while maintaining accurate production documentation and meeting established quality and safety requirements. Work includes operations within an ISO 7 controlled environment as well as an open-air Controlled Non-Classified (CNC) area. Key Responsibilities Follow established GMP procedures and work instructions without deviation. Set up, operate, shut down, and clean aseptic filling, labeling, and other production equipment. Operate multiple pieces of production equipment simultaneously as required. Monitor production activities and address minor equipment jams and downtime issues to minimize production interruptions. Promptly report abnormal equipment operation, product issues, safety concerns, injuries, and incidents. Perform visual and physical inspections of products and materials to verify quality and acceptability. Accurately complete work orders, production records, and other required digital and hard-copy documentation. Maintain accurate, complete, and legible GMP records. Perform basic production-related mathematical calculations. Maintain and replenish production materials to support continuous operations. Follow established safety procedures while operating equipment and performing production activities. Complete general housekeeping activities and maintain a clean, safe, GMP-compliant work area. Support production activities outside the immediate assigned work area when needed. Contribute positively to team performance, productivity, quality, and efficiency. Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through email. Utilize Microsoft Office, SAP, and other computer-based production systems. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing experience in a GMP-regulated environment required. Previous manufacturing experience in an environment adhering to ISO standards required. Ability to work in a clean environment and wear required gowning, including hoods, shoe covers, coveralls, and other protective garments. Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Basic computer skills, including data entry, inventory software, and Microsoft Office. Ability to follow established procedures and instructions with minimal supervision. Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic production environment. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and respond appropriately to production or quality issues. Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
