As an Assembly Technician, you'll play a key role in assembling state-of-the-art fiber laser cutting machines, contributing directly to high-tech products used across industries. What You'll Do Assemble fiber laser machines and precision subassemblies using detailed drawings, schematics, and work instructions Work hands-on with mechanical and electrical components to bring complex systems to life Perform testing and quality checks, ensuring every machine meets performance standards Use ERP systems (like SAP) to track progress and document your work Prepare tools, materials, and workstations to ensure efficient assembly processes Maintain accurate records and contribute to high-quality production standards Collaborate with your team to solve problems and improve processes Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and efficiency Keep your workspace clean, organized, and aligned with safety protocols What You Bring 3+ years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical assembly Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures Basic computer skills and experience with ERP or production tracking systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety A team-oriented mindset and willingness to learn and cross-train Nice to

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hoffman Estates, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
