Job Title:
Assembler - Medical Production Job Description This role focuses on assembling various components of medical catheters in a cleanroom environment. You rotate through different workstations, performing light, detailed assembly tasks such as gluing, threading wire, inspecting components, and completing documentation. You contribute directly to the quality and reliability of life-enhancing medical products while working in a climate-controlled, organized, and safety-focused setting. Responsibilities Assemble various components of medical catheters according to established procedures and work instructions. Rotate through different stations in the cleanroom environment rather than remaining at a single station every day. Perform light assembly tasks, including gluing, threading wire, and fitting small precision components. Inspect parts and finished catheters visually and with tools such as microscopes to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications. Complete accurate documentation of production activities, quality checks, and inspection results. Operate production and assembly equipment and machines as required for building, loading, unloading, and packing products. Follow all cleanroom protocols, including proper gowning and handling of materials to maintain a controlled environment. Use an iPad or touchscreen device to access work instructions, record data, or complete production-related entries. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 to 6 months of production experience in areas such as operating equipment, assembly, packaging, or material handling. Strong attention to detail when working with small components and performing inspections. Ability to read and write in English to follow work instructions and complete documentation accurately. Experience completing basic documentation clearly and correctly in a production or similar environment. Ability to operate an iPad or touchscreen device for work-related tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working in a cleanroom environment. Sewing experience, particularly with fine or detailed work. Experience handling needles or small precision components. Familiarity with microscopes for detailed inspection. machine operation, including running and monitoring production equipment. Work Environment You work in a cleanroom environment that is climate controlled, air-conditioned, and highly organized, with each room designated as a specific department. The role involves very light assembly work, and you can sit for the entire shift. You must follow strict cleanroom attire and personal protective equipment requirements, including wearing safety glasses with side shields, a hair net, a lab coat or smock, and gloves before entering the work area. Jewelry, excessive makeup, nail polish, and fake nails are not permitted in the cleanroom. The environment uses production equipment, microscopes, and touchscreen devices such as iPads for documentation and instructions. The standard schedule runs from 6:00 a.m. to 2:20 p.m., Monday through Friday, and performance is measured on efficiency, safety, and quality. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
