Shift:
Monday-Friday, 2:00pm-10:30pm ($19/hr + $1 shift differential) - Must train on 1st shift for 6 weeks (6:00am-2:30pm)

Shift:
Sunday-Thursday, 9:30pm-6:00am ($19/hr + $2 shift differential) - Must train on 1st shift for 6 weeks (6:00am-2:30pm) Overview We are seeking a Locomotive Assembler to support electrical and mechanical assembly in a heavy manufacturing environment. This role involves installing, wiring, and assembling locomotive cab units and underframes using schematics, blueprints, and detailed work instructions. The position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to safely use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment. Key Responsibilities
  • Run wiring throughout cab units and underframes
  • Measure, cut, strip, and lug wires to required specifications
  • Perform continuity testing on wires and cables
  • Fit, assemble, connect, and install mechanical and electrical components
  • Use hand tools, power tools, crimpers, strippers, voltmeters, jigs, and measuring devices
  • Align major locomotive components during assembly
  • Assist welders with prep work, repair, and grinding weld spatter
  • Mask locomotive units for painting preparation
  • Access and follow digital work instructions using computer systems
  • Maintain safety, quality, and production standards at all times
  • Perform basic measurement and calculation tasks as required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints
  • Basic understanding of electrical concepts (continuity, wiring paths, voltage checks)
  • Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing or mechanical setting
  • Ability to work in a Windows-based system to access instructions and documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Ability to follow structured, step-by-step instructions accurately
  • Mechanical aptitude with willingness to perform both electrical and mechanical tasks
