Job Title:
Assembler Job Description The Assembler uses hand and power tools to build, inspect, and test mechanical assemblies while following detailed drawings and instructions. This role involves precise measurement, basic math, and the use of a computer to record assembly status, ensuring high-quality products in a clean, modern, and well-organized production environment. Responsibilities Use hand and power tools to complete mechanical assemblies according to specifications. Follow instructions based on engineering drawings and verbal direction from supervisors. Inspect and test completed assemblies to verify proper function and quality standards. Clean and lubricate parts and assemblies to ensure smooth operation and longevity. Maintain an accurate inventory of tools and report any damaged or missing items. Use a computer to record assembly status, progress, and any issues encountered. Read and interpret tape measurements accurately, including down to 1/16 of an inch. Apply basic math skills to measure, calculate, and verify component dimensions. Work effectively on an assembly line and contribute to meeting production goals. Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve assembly or quality issues as they arise. Essential Skills Proven ability to read a tape measure accurately, including measurements down to 1/16 of an inch. Hands-on experience using a variety of hand and power tools in an assembly or similar setting. Previous experience in assembly, construction, woodworking, or building-related work. Ability to follow detailed instructions from drawings and verbal guidance. Basic math skills to support accurate measurement and assembly work. Comfort using a computer to record and track assembly status. Capability to work on an assembly line and meet production expectations. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Additional Skills & Qualifications Mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or production environment. Carpentry or related hands-on mechanical experience. Experience reading and working from blueprints or technical drawings. Forklift experience is a plus. Crane operation experience is a plus. Ability to work effectively on either first shift (6:00 a.m.

The facility includes a brand-new kitchen and market area where employees can purchase snacks and lunch items, as well as vending machines for additional convenience. Work is performed on an assembly line using hand and power tools, with access to up-to-date equipment and a well-organized production floor. Shifts include first shift (6:00 a.m.
  • 2:30 p.m.) and second shift (2:00 p.m.
  • 10:30 p.m.), providing structured hours in a consistent manufacturing environment. The overall atmosphere is professional, orderly, and focused on safety, comfort, and efficiency. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hobart, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00
