Weekend Warrior - Assembly Technician Position Summary The Weekend Warrior Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling vehicle side rail components in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This position works weekend shifts and supports production goals by ensuring components are assembled accurately, safely, and efficiently while meeting quality standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assemble vehicle side rail components according to engineering specifications and work instructions. Operate hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and assembly equipment safely and effectively. Inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality and compliance with manufacturing standards. Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or process concerns to supervisors. Maintain production quotas while adhering to safety and quality requirements. Follow standardized work procedures and participate in continuous improvement activities. Perform basic material handling, including moving parts and components within the work area. Keep workstations clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards. Work collaboratively with team members, supervisors, and quality personnel to meet production objectives. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, assembly, automotive, or industrial experience preferred but not required. Ability to read and follow written work instructions and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35-50 pounds regularly. Manual dexterity required for handling tools and assembly components. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and moving equipment.
