Full Job Description Work Site:
Westfield, IN Schedule:
Monday through Thursday;
First Shift:
6:30am to 5:00pm;
Second Shift:
5:00pm to 3:30am
Compensation:
$16.00 hourly, with an additional $0.40 shift premium for those on the second shift.
Core Duties:
Interpret and carry out production tasks by following Process Control Instructions, Bills of Material, Product Description Sheets, and Visual Guides. Ensure component accuracy by measuring finished parts against required specifications. Optimize production efficiency by utilizing tools and materials effectively to meet output goals. Support team members at different stations to help maintain overall workflow. Keep your assigned workspace tidy and organized. Conduct routine audits to ensure compliance with safety, quality, 5S, and standard operating procedures. Complete additional tasks as required by the team.
Requirements:
Completion of high school or a GED equivalent. Prior background in manufacturing or assembly roles. Capacity to interpret and follow both verbal and written directions. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities. A collaborative mindset for working within a team. Dedication to maintaining high standards of workmanship to ensure product excellence. High level of attention to detail. Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Physical capability to lift and transport a minimum of 25 pounds periodically. Ability to remain on your feet for shifts lasting 10 hours or more. Adaptability to rotate between different assembly stations. Availability to put in extra hours when production needs arise. Ability to maintain concentration in a high-speed production setting.
Physical and Environmental Expectations:
The role demands a focus on meeting deadlines, managing multiple tasks, and adapting to a shifting schedule. Requires standard vision capabilities, including depth perception and distance focus. Involves frequent collaboration with colleagues via various communication channels, requiring active listening and clear information exchange. Daily physical movements include standing, balancing, bending, reaching, walking, pulling, pushing, and lifting items from various heights. Involves constant physical activity, the operation of industrial tools and vehicles, and the ability to handle 25lb loads. Compliance with safety protocols is mandatory, including the use of required PPE such as safety glasses, steel-toed boots, hard hats, and gloves. Tasks may involve operating or working in proximity to heavy machinery. The environment may include exposure to fluctuating temperature ranges.
