Job Description

Position Purpose:
Works as a member of the Axle Production department to assist in the operation of machinery in the axle
Production Area Essential Functions:
Operating all the MIG welding machinery in the Fabrication area. Ability to perform quality checks using calibrated digital micrometers, Veneer Calipers, and go/no go gauges to ensure product is within tolerance. Proper paperwork/reports are to be completed to document build per work order specifications. Comply with all safety standards and regulations. Oversee growing successful leaders. Education and Training High School diploma or GED from an accredited school. Must pass the Hendrickson weld test - 2G.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to learn and physically rotate to all required job stations and job tasks in assigned work area with-in the rotation timetable that has been or will be established for that area. Ability to use all Personal Protective Equipment that is issued by Hendrickson. Mathematical skill a must. Basic blueprint reading. Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a continuously improving environment. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to work in a diverse production environment. Team Skills a must. Ability to pay close attention to minor details resulting in the production of a superior quality product.
High School Diploma/GED Physical Demands:
Constant standing, forward bending, reaching, balancing, use of cervical spine motion, lower extremities, simple grasp, firm grasp, fine manipulation, and pinching. Occasional squatting Minimal sitting, climbing, kneeling, and crawling. Lifting up to 80 lbs. Carrying 10-30 lbs. up to 30 feet. Push/Pull 10-50 force lbs.
