Iron City Millwork Iron City Millwork is seeking a skilled Lead Finisher with experience in high-end residential millwork. This role is ideal for someone who can lead a team, stay organized, and consistently deliver furniture-grade finishes while keeping projects on track. Responsibilities Apply high-quality finishes to custom cabinetry and millwork, including conversion varnish, 2K urethanes, and water-based products Spray, stain, tone, and seal a variety of wood species and veneers Perform all surface preparation, including sanding, filling, and grain raising Match existing finishes and develop custom finish samples Maintain a clean and organized spray booth and finishing area Inspect completed work to ensure top-tier quality standards Lead and support other finishers to maintain workflow and consistency Keep projects organized and on schedule Track and manage daily consumables, including sandpaper, tape, reducers, catalysts, and primers Required Skills and Experience Strong understanding of color theory and color matching Ability to create custom stains from scratch using dyes and pigments Experience with Kremlin pump systems Knowledge of wood bleaching techniques Minimum of 5 years of wood finishing experience (high-end residential or custom millwork preferred) Experience with spray equipment and proper maintenance Ability to read shop drawings and understand finishing requirements What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship Ability to work independently while leading a team Highly organized with a clean and efficient work style A problem solver who can adjust and correct finishes as needed Someone who consistently delivers high-end results

Pay:

$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
