Hanover, MDPosition OverviewWe are seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Wiring Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will assemble and wire components into finished products by interpreting diagrams, blueprints, and work orders. Success in this position requires precision, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. - Ad to all safety protocols, including wearing safety shoes, safety glasses, ear protection, and other required PPE
- Use tools safely and maintain a clean, organised work area
- Read and interpret diagrams, schematics, bills of materials, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly
- Verify product quality by ensuring components are level, square, and free of defects
- Inspect components for any visible damage, such as dents or scratches
- Use torque wrenches to tighten fasteners to specified torque values
- Work collaboratively with team members and maintain clear communication
- Understand manufacturing documentation including front views, drawings, order entry systems, and material lists
- Assemble switchboards, panelboards, and related equipment using written or verbal instructions
- Identify missing components, part shortages, or discrepancies and escalate as needed
- Use a variety of hand tools and assembly equipment to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
- Communicate job progress to supervisors and team members, noting any production challenges
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and support root cause analysis for quality concerns
- Conduct visual inspections before and after assembly and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Assemble copper bussing according to design specifications, ensuring proper spacing from phase to phase and ground
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and concentration
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritise work, and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with computers and the ability to use CAD software to view structural designs.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an Assembler or Wiring Technician in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with standard assembly tools, techniques, and electrical/mechanical components.
- Work in a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility supporting 200-250 employees
- Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and fluctuating temperatures
- PPE requirements: steel-toe boots, safety glasses, long pants, and long sleeves or cut-resistant sleeves (company assists with sourcing PPE; boots required)
- Position requires standing, walking, and lifting 25-50 lbs throughout the shift
- Initial training is provided during a dedicated first-week onboarding program before team assignment.
