Job Title:
2nd Shift Assembler Job Description Join a growing manufacturing team as a 2nd Shift Assembler, where you will complete start-to-finish assembly of products, perform quality inspections, and document your work using basic hand tools and measuring equipment. You will begin on a split shift schedule while you train and then transition to a full 2nd shift role in a dynamic production environment. Responsibilities Assemble products from start to finish according to work instructions and quality standards. Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment to complete assembly tasks accurately and safely. Inspect finished assemblies to ensure they meet specifications and quality requirements. Document completed work, including inspection results and any required production records. Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines at all times. Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines. Maintain a clean and organized work area within the assembly department. Handle and move materials and components as needed, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Support cross-training efforts by learning additional tasks and processes as required. Essential Skills 6+ months of previous manufacturing or assembly experience preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and machinery. Ability to use basic hand tools and measuring equipment effectively. Team-first mentality with a positive attitude and strong reliability. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift. Willingness to work a training schedule from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and transition to a 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in general labor, mechanical work, or similar hands-on roles. Comfort working in a warehouse, assembly, or machine shop environment. Openness to cross-training and learning new processes over time. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Why Work Here? Work Environment You will train on a 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. schedule for approximately 4-8 weeks before transitioning to a 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. 2nd shift schedule. The facility is a large open warehouse that includes an assembly department and machine shop, with windows providing plenty of natural light. The environment is not temperature controlled, but large garage bays and installed fans help keep the space cooler in the summer. You may wear wired headphones during your shift, subject to safety guidelines. Steel or composite toe shoes are required, and safety glasses are provided to support a safe working environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Brunswick, ME. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
