Role Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Scope Assembly Technician for assembly, calibration, and quality control of precision riflescopes and optical devices. This role plays a critical part in building high-performance optics to meet strict quality, mechanical, and optical standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong mechanical aptitude, patience, discipline, and exceptional attention to detail for precision work, along with the ability to follow structured assembly procedures in a controlled environment. Key Responsibilities Assembly & Production (Training Provided) Perform lens cleaning using cleaning solutions with noticeable odor as part of the assembly process Perform precision assembly of riflescopes and optical components in a dust-free controlled environment. Execute torque-controlled fastening and component installation per specifications Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all assembly steps Optical Calibration & Adjustment (Training Provided) Perform diopter adjustment and optical clarity verification using dioptometer Align reticle to optical center using collimator systems Calibrating reticle leveling and preset windage and elevation adjustments to mechanical zero Quality Control & Inspection (Training Provided) Conduct in-process and final quality inspections. Identify and report defects or inconsistencies. Maintain documentation of inspection results and production records Workplace & Process Discipline Maintain a clean, dust-controlled work environment Handle optical components with care to prevent contamination or damage Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures Participate in training programs and continuous skill development Qualifications Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Technical training or associate degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or related field preferred 1-3 years of experience preferred in precision assembly, optics, electronics, or mechanical manufacturing, and firearm optics experience is a strong plus but not required. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Skills Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination Ability to work with small, delicate components Familiarity with basic hand tools and torque tools Ability to read and follow technical instructions and SOPs Quality & Attention to Detail High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to detect minor defects or inconsistencies Understanding of precision tolerances is a plus Problem-Solving & Work Ethic Strong sense of responsibility and accountability Ability to troubleshoot basic assembly or alignment issues Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-developing production environment Team & Communication Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good communication skills for reporting issues and progress Positive attitude and willingness to support team goals Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have) Experience with optical instruments or riflescopes Familiarity with collimators, dioptometers, or similar optical tools, and cleanroom or controlled assembly environments.
