At Youngblood Automation, a division of H&P Technologies, we are looking for a Assembly Technician to join our team in Warren, MI. As an Assembly Technician, you will provide assembly and maintenance support to achieve optimal levels of productivity, quality, and safety to assure internal and external customer satisfaction. This position entails assembling a variety of fluid power and motion control systems, including hydraulic power units. Responsibilities Reading and understanding hydraulic circuit and layout drawings. Staging necessary components to prepare for assembly. Layout and assembly of hydraulic power units according to manufacturer specifications using a variety of hand and power tools. Bending tubing, threading, welding, drilling, tapping, and fabricating brackets. Prepping, testing, and adjusting completed units. Cleaning, organizing, and maintaining work area and shop equipment. Update software and hardware for customer demos, including robotic manipulators, precision positioning systems, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems, PLC's and automation. Provide detailed reports on design reviews, control system models, and debugging. Hands-on, data driven problem solving - commonly working directly with system hardware. Assist with hardware prototype builds and troubleshooting as needed. Provide subject matter expert input and guidance for field service escalations. Skills & Experience Possess the motivation to learn how to read and understand hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics with the oversite and instruction of the Assembly leader. Possess the motivation to learn various types and usages of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical fittings. The ability to learn how to utilize forms such as quality checklists and fitting counts. Ability to safely use hand and basic power tools. Possess the motivation to learn to fabricate reservoirs using torches, cutting tools, and welders. Possess the motivation to learn basic testing and quality assessment skills. The ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Working knowledge of AC and DC power distribution, servo amplifiers, and motors is a plus. Experience with electro-mechanical systems or automation equipment is a plus. Understanding of motion control concepts (closed loop servo control systems, frequency response, current mode motor control of brushless motors).
