Fixture Assembly Technician Job Description This position involves the assembly and packaging of store fixtures made from both wood and plastics. These fixtures are essential for displaying products in retail stores, such as makeup, shoes, and belts. The role requires setting up plastic and wood pieces in jigs and using a liquid glue product to connect the different pieces. Selecting the correct parts based on written directions and performing a visual inspection of parts as they are assembled is crucial. Responsibilities Assemble store fixtures using wood and plastic components. Set up pieces in jigs and use liquid glue to connect parts. Select correct parts following written directions. Perform visual inspections of assembled parts. Utilize hand and power tools for certain products. Contribute feedback for process improvements. Essential Skills General production and mechanical assembly experience. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Competence in using a tape measure. Additional Skills & Qualifications 1+ years of stable work history. 1+ years of assembly experience preferred. Willingness and desire to learn and grow. Ability to follow written directions. Capacity to work well with a team and under limited supervision. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment includes a clean and well-lit assembly area, separated by a wall from a machine area. While the primary work location is the assembly area, occasional visits to the machine area to retrieve parts are required. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chanhassen, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
