A Production Fabricator or Assembler constructs and assembles a wide range of products, such as engines, computers, aircraft, ships, boats, toys, electronic devices, and control panels, as well as the individual parts that make up these products.
Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, bilingual individual to join our assembly production team. This is an active, hands-on role on the production line that requires full fluency in written and spoken English and Spanish. You will serve as a vital link between supervisors and Spanish-speaking team members, translating daily instructions, safety guidelines, and production needs while actively participating in assembly operations.
Key Responsibilities Line Operations & Assembly:
Work directly on the assembly line, performing hands-on production tasks and assisting the team to meet daily output and quality goals.
Verbal Interpretation:
Translate supervisor directions, shift goals, training, and mid-shift reminders into Spanish during pre-shift huddles, meetings, and daily floor operations.
Shift Setup & Positioning:
Partner with supervisors at the start of each shift to assign line positions and ensure employees are staged and ready to begin work promptly.
Written Translation:
Translate key operational documents-including work instructions, safety guidelines, training materials, and company policies-between English and Spanish.
Safety & Compliance:
Facilitate clear communication during safety or food safety incidents, ensuring all employees understand emergency protocols and standard operating procedures.
Department & HR Support:
Assist HR with orientation sessions and policy explanations for Spanish-speaking new hires; handle all workplace communications with discretion and confidentiality.
Floor Flexibility:
Perform other manual assembly, packing, or production duties as assigned when translation is not actively required.
Qualifications Bilingual Fluency:
Highly proficient in reading, writing, and speaking both English and Spanish. Assembly /
Manufacturing Experience:
Prior experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing, food production, or assembly line environment preferred.
Communication:
Ability to clearly interpret instructions and foster a respectful, collaborative atmosphere on the floor.
Basic Math Skills:
Capability to count parts, track production numbers, or verify simple measurements.
Physical Requirements:
In good physical condition with the ability to stand for long periods, perform manual tasks, and lift up to 50 lbs.
