Job Title:
Final Assembler Job Description The Final Assembler plays a key role in the production of large industrial generators by completing the final assembly stages, installing exterior panels, and preparing units for shipment. This position involves working directly from blueprints and schematics, using a variety of hand, power, and pneumatic tools to assemble products to precise customer specifications. The role is hands-on, physically active, and ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and experience working with large products or vehicles. Responsibilities Perform final assembly of large industrial generators according to detailed blueprints and customer specifications. Assemble exterior panels, trailers, and tanks that support and house the generators. Complete the final stages of generator assembly, ensuring all components fit and function correctly. Use hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools safely and effectively throughout the assembly process. Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine assembly requirements and sequence of work. Crate and prepare finished products for shipment as needed, ensuring secure and damage-free packaging. Lift and move components and materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient production and safety. Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines within the open bay/warehouse environment. Essential Skills At least 6 months of experience in large product mechanical assembly, such as industrial equipment or automotive work. At least 6 months of experience using hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools in a production or mechanical setting. Ability to read and work directly from blueprints and schematics. Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with large components and structures. Basic familiarity with mechanical assembly practices, including alignment, fastening, and fitment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience as an automotive mechanic or similar mechanical trade is highly relevant and considered. Experince in production, carpentry, or other hands-on mechanical or fabrication work. Ability to work independently while also collaborating with production team members. Strong attention to detail to ensure quality and accuracy in final assembly. Reliability and consistency in following work instructions, safety standards, and production schedules. Why Work Here? The setting is active and production-oriented, with an emphasis on safety, teamwork, and efficient workflow. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Mankato, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
