Job Title:
Assembler Job Description This role focuses on assembling rotor and stator cores by stacking and aligning laminations to precise specifications in a clean, quiet production environment. You will work under general supervision, receive instruction on new work and variations, and use a variety of hand and power tools, including welding equipment, to meet quality and productivity standards. Responsibilities Stack and align rotor and stator laminations to assemble cores according to work orders and specifications. Measure core stacks using a ruler and add or remove laminations to achieve the specified core body size. Perform GMAW tack welding that meets established certification requirements. Use various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly tasks. Perform spot welding as required to complete core assemblies. Follow instructions for new work, product variations, and updated procedures under general supervision. Complete daily and weekly Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks accurately and consistently. Adhere to established work methods, procedures, and quality standards for welding and assembly output. Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient production floor. Read and follow work orders and related documentation to ensure correct assembly and configuration. Develop proficiency with materials, equipment, and processes over time to meet quality and quantity expectations. Essential Skills At least 6 months of prior assembly experience. Ability to read and follow work orders and written instructions. Basic measurement skills, including using a ruler to verify dimensions. Ability to perform or learn GMAW tack welding to certification standards. Ability to use various hand and power tools safely and effectively. Capacity to perform spot welding as part of the assembly process. Ability to follow established procedures and work methods under general supervision. Strong attention to detail to ensure correct stacking, alignment, and sizing of laminations. Willingness to perform daily and weekly TPM tasks with accuracy and consistency. Additional Skills & Qualifications A vocational or high school education or equivalent. Willingness to complete on-the-job training to learn trade techniques and procedures. Interest in developing proficiency with materials, equipment, and welding quality requirements over time. Ability to work assigned shifts, including first, second, or weekend shift as needed. Work Environment You work on an open production floor with great lighting in a very clean and quiet facility that supports concentration and safety. The environment includes the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for assembly tasks.Multiple shifts are available:
first shift runs 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday; second shift runs 4:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday; and a fourth weekend shift runs 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Friday through Sunday. Positions are available across these shifts, allowing flexibility in scheduling within a structured production setting.
