Job Title:
Assembler Job Description The Assembler builds and inspects high-quality fitness equipment used in both commercial facilities and home environments. Working in a team-based manufacturing setting, this role focuses on assembling units or parts according to established procedures, using hand and power tools, and ensuring that every product meets quality and safety standards. Responsibilities Build and assemble fitness products by working with units or individual parts according to established procedures. Inspect assembled products and components to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Read and follow assembly drawings and blueprints to perform accurate mechanical assembly. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices such as tape measures to complete assembly tasks. Perform general production and general labor tasks as needed to support the manufacturing process. Work collaboratively in a team environment to meet production goals and deadlines. Follow all workplace safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform repetitive motions, including walking, bending, turning, and lifting, as required for assembly work. Essential Skills At least 6+ months of general production experience. At least 6+ months of general labor experience. At least 6+ months of experience using hand and power tools. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Basic math skills, including addition and subtraction. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform mechanical assembly tasks. Ability to follow assembly drawings and blueprints. Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Additional Skills & Qualifications Comfort working with assembly line processes and procedures. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a manufacturing environment. Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and quality. Work Environment This is a hands-on manufacturing role in a production facility focused on building cardio and strength fitness equipment such as treadmills, exercise bikes, elliptical cross-trainers, rowers, and weight training machines. The work requires standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, turning, and repetitive motion. You will occasionally lift up to 35 lbs and regularly use hand and power tools, tape measures, and other basic assembly equipment. The work area can be noisy, and you will work as part of an assembly team. Typical hours are 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with planned work on Fridays as needed to support production demands. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr.
