Fabrication Technician Anderson Metal Fabricating - St. Stephen, MN $24.00-$30.00 per hour Full-Time | Four-Day Work Week | Monday-Thursday | 6:30 AM-5:00 PM Anderson Metal Fabricating is seeking a skilled and versatile Fabrication Technician to join our team in St. Stephen, Minnesota. This position is ideal for an experienced fabrication professional who is comfortable working across multiple areas of a fabrication shop. We are looking for a dependable team member who can read prints, weld, assemble products, perform finishing work, and help solve production challenges as they arise. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, works well independently, and is willing to jump in wherever needed to keep projects moving forward. Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and digital prints Perform MIG welding and fabrication tasks Assemble complex products and subassemblies Apply adhesives and bonding materials according to specifications Perform sanding, finishing, deburring, and surface preparation work Verify dimensions and quality throughout the fabrication and assembly process Operate common fabrication, assembly, and shop equipment safely Troubleshoot fit-up and assembly issues as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area Assist with other shop production activities as required Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of fabrication, welding, manufacturing, or related experience Ability to independently read and interpret fabrication drawings Experience with MIG welding and general fabrication practices Experience with complex mechanical or custom assemblies Experience working in a fabrication shop or job-shop environment Sanding, finishing, paint preparation, or surface finishing experience is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods Benefits Four-day work week Dental insurance Vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off Stable, year-round employment Schedule Monday-Thursday 6:30 AM-5:00 PM Overtime opportunities available as production demands require If you enjoy building quality products, solving problems, and working in a hands-on fabrication environment, we'd like to hear from you.
