Assembly Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team in manufacturing wafers and sensors for the semiconductor industry. This role involves a variety of tasks and requires flexibility and comfort in performing different duties daily. Responsibilities Assemble small wafer and sensor components, using a microscope for 30% of the day with tweezers. Perform light soldering of components under a microscope and vision scope for 10% of the job. Conduct wire bonding, quality inspection, packaging, documentation, and preparation for shipping. Work in a cleanroom environment and pull work orders from the computer system. Document tasks in the computer system and ensure accuracy. Essential Skills 1+ year of experience in medical or electronic assembly. 3+ months of experience in microscope assembly. Ability to read, write, and communicate in English. Additional Skills & Qualifications Soldering experience. Cleanroom experience. Experience as a lead or trainer. Inspection or packaging experience. Wire bonding experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is clean and research-focused, designed for individuals who thrive in a flexible team setting and are comfortable taking initiative. The facility includes a machine shop area, cleanroom, lab, and general assembly area, all maintaining a quiet and clean atmosphere. The shift hours are 9 am-5 pm, Monday-Friday, with potential for overtime. Initially, the position may be part-time (20-30 hours per week) for the first 1-4 months, with the possibility of transitioning to full-time. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of White Bear Lake, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
