About us Yield Technology Service is growing small business in Carrollton, MO. We are innovative, social, and ambitious. Our goal is to provide effective and economical solutions for farmers and growers. Job Overview The Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling, inspecting, and preparing equipment for delivery according to manufacturer specifications and company quality standards. This position works closely with the Service, Parts, and Sales Departments to ensure equipment is assembled accurately, safely, and on schedule while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble equipment and attachments according to manufacturer specifications, procedures, and safety guidelines. Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) to ensure equipment is fully operational and ready for customer delivery. Install accessories, options, and customer-requested equipment modifications. Read and interpret assembly instructions, technical manuals, diagrams, and work orders. Inspect completed assemblies for quality, functionality, and compliance with manufacturer standards. Identify and report damaged, missing, or defective parts and coordinate with the Parts Department for replacements. Operate forklifts, and other shop equipment safely to move equipment and components as needed. Maintain accurate records of completed work, inspections, and required documentation. Assist with equipment setup for customer demonstrations, deliveries, and dealership events. Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with company safety policies. Collaborate with the Service, Parts, and Sales Departments to meet production schedules and customer expectations. Perform additional shop duties and other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Experience assembling agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment is preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work confidently with hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment. Demonstrated ability to perform hands-on mechanical work accurately and efficiently. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, assembly instructions, parts diagrams, and work orders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Good organizational, communication, and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in varying positions throughout the workday. Ability to work in a shop environment exposed to noise, dust, grease, and changing temperatures. Ability to safely operate shop equipment, forklifts, and lifting devices.
