Job Title:
Production Line Worker Job Description As a Production Line Worker, you will be an integral part of the production line, learning the entire process from mixing and refining to packaging. You will work with machines that perform tasks such as panning, portioning, baking, extracting, grinding, and depositing. Your role will involve producing inclusions like ingredients for ice creams, muffin mixes, cereals, oatmeal, waffles, and chocolate. Additionally, you will complete necessary paperwork, perform hourly metal detector checks, and follow new processes. Responsibilities Operate and monitor machinery on the production line. Produce inclusions for various food products. Complete necessary paperwork and perform metal detector checks. Scan products in and out of the system. Act as a floater by learning multiple lines and positions to support the team. Regularly lift up to 50lbs. Essential Skills Experience in machine operation and production. Ability to lift boxes and materials up to 50lbs. Packaging and performing quality checks. Mechanically inclined with a minimum of 6 months experience in a production or manufacturing background. Experience with GMP, ideally in food, chemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with machine operating, preferably in food or chemical manufacturing. Proficiency in completing changeovers and troubleshooting mechanical machinery issues. Familiarity with cGMP requirements, pallet jacks, and metal detectors. Work Environment Work in a clean and well-lit food manufacturing facility, adhering to all health and safety guidelines. The environment is fast-paced with significant standing. Contractors must wear hairnets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes, and lab coats. The climate-controlled facility can reach up to 100 degrees due to machinery and ovens. Shifts are rotating 12s from 6:30 am to 6:50 pm and 6:30 pm to 6:50 am, with training provided. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO.
