Job Title:
Assembler Job Description Join our team as an Assembler for a seven-month project where you will be responsible for constructing units by assembling components, applying wiring, and ensuring quality standards are met. Responsibilities Select components and align them in proper sequence by drilling holes, adding rivets, screws, bolts, braces, tape, cement, or solder. Choose appropriate sub-assemblies or component parts and install them in the unit according to the specified sequence of events (SOE). Apply wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components in cabinets following SOE, recognizing color codes to ensure guidelines are met. Read electrical wiring diagrams to accomplish accurate assembly. Utilize a wide range of hand tools, including drills, rivet guns, saws, hy-pot testers, and drill presses. Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure the unit meets specified quality standards before moving to the next workstation. Verify that custom equipment changes have been made according to specifications. Clean and pack the final product using approved chemicals, referring to MSDS for safe handling and proper PPE use. Move units or position pieces manually or using work aids like casters, cranes, or forklifts. Perform other duties and provide support and coverage on all operations on the line as requested by the supervisor, requiring cross-training and flexibility. Reorder raw materials and finished parts using the Kanban inventory system and maintain inventory accuracy with correct part numbers. Essential Skills Experience with assembling components using drilling, riveting, and wiring. Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams. Proficiency in using hand tools such as drills, rivet guns, and saws. Knowledge of color coding and wiring procedures. Experience with quality inspection during assembly processes. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with the Kanban inventory system. Ability to operate work aids like casters, cranes, or forklifts. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Asheville, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
