Job Description
General:
The role of "Level I Assembler" will receive and carry out instructions given from production management/supervision and will assist "Level II or Level III Assemblers" as needed. The main goal of this position is to develop product knowledge, learn pipe threading and assembly, basic wiring of components , to build to the desired quality, and to do so in an acceptable time frame all while practicing good safety for oneself, others, and property. In addition, this role will learn other procedures and processes unique to BFS.Skills Required:
General Mathematics, Tape Measure Reading, Basic Blueprint Reading, Basic Wiring Schematic Reading, Knowledge for Safe Use of Basic Hand Tools, Knowledge for Safe Use of Basic Power Tools.Responsibilities:
All BFS shop personnel are to comply with the BFS Employee Handbook Responsibilities and Drug Free Workplace Responsibilities Additional responsibilities for "Level I Assembler" are to include, but are not limited to, the following: Weekly inventory of "consumable" shop supplies, as well as, verifying that shop fabrication materials are at desired stock levels. Pull, identify, and assemble components to production orders and drawings. Assist "Level II or III Assemblers" in assembly processes according to production orders and drawings. Safely operate powered and non-powered hand tools, such as, drilling, tapping, sanding, grinding, bolting, and cutting, as required. Bending conduit, pulling wires. On occasion, required to lift heavy objects by means of equipment available (additional team members, use of hand truck, pallet jack- , fork lift
