Use of hand tools at stations to make signs Preparing work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts list; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials Positioning parts and subassemblies by using templates and reading measurements Resolving assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications Using equipment such as: press taker, arbor press, grinder, soldering equipment, belt sander, drill press, magnifying glass (microscope), ohm meter, epoxy machine, ovens, sonic machine, test rigs, fixtures and gauges, and hydraulic press Additional duties as needed 2-3 Years as Assembler, High School Diploma Required
