Hourly SUMMARY The Firearms Assembly Technician is responsible for the accurate assembly, inspection, and testing of AR-15, AR-10, and handgun components, subassemblies, and complete firearms. This position requires strict adherence to work instructions, quality standards, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(include the following; however, other duties may apply.)

Review parts to make sure there are no defects, gather necessary tools and assemble parts as needed to fulfill work order.
Read, interpret, and accurately execute work orders, assembly drawings, specifications, and manufacturing instructions.
Assemble AR-15, AR-10, and handgun subassemblies and complete firearms according to established procedures and quality standards.
Verify correct components, part numbers, and quantities prior to assembly.
Perform functional checks and inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure compliance with specifications.
Safely operate hand tools, torque tools, gauges, fixtures, and other assembly equipment.
Conduct firearm test-firing operations in accordance with company safety protocols and range procedures.
Complete all required quality assurance documentation, test-fire records, inspection reports, and production paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Identify, document, and report quality concerns, non-conforming materials, or assembly issues to supervisors and quality personnel.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company policies, safety requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly efficiency, quality, and workplace safety.
Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job satisfactorily, an individual must meet the following:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with small components and assemblies.
Ability to read and follow written work instructions, drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to safely handle firearms and ammunition.
Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

PREFERRED

The following qualifications are preferred, but not required:

Previous firearms assembly, gunsmithing, machining, manufacturing, or mechanical assembly experience.
Familiarity with AR-15, AR-10, and handgun platforms.
Experience performing quality inspections and completing manufacturing documentation.
Knowledge of firearm function testing and troubleshooting.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Effectively communicate with fellow employees both verbally and written in the English language. Must be able to write in a professional/business manner

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills. Communicate honestly with all team members and provide solutions to problems in a timely fashion.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
Ability to stand and work at assembly stations for extended periods.
Ability to use hand tools and perform repetitive hand movements.
Ability to safely work in a manufacturing and test-fire environment.
