Job Description

As an Assembler, you will hold a very important role in the Kings Mountain Operations (KMO) facility. In this role, you will be responsible for utilizing equipment to consistently produce a quality product in an efficient manner.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Setting up and performing simple and complex assembly/fabrication operations on bench, floor fixture, or progressive manufacturing line.
- Performing tasks as outlined in the process work instructions.
- Operating hand and/or power tools.
- Perform inspections as outlined in the Inspection Instruction sheets.
- Operate manual production equipment consisting of spot welders, mig welders, gas welder, plasma-cutters, sealer flow guns, spray guns, sanders, grinders equipment as appropriate for assigned areas.
- Use various measurement tools.
- Proper handling of Hazardous Waste generated by plant.
- Upholding and maintaining the team-oriented environment with quality goals.
- Performing other duties as assigned by Team Leader, Supervisor, and/or Manager.
- Maintain a clean work area.
Education, Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma and/or GED with basic math skills and reading comprehension.
- Basic understanding of industrial safety practices.
- 0-2 years of experience working within a manufacturing environment is desired.
- Willingness to develop in alignment with the Volvo Way and the Code of Conduct.
