Summary Job Description This position is responsible for using the 8-way hand tie method to install springs in frames used in the manufacture of upholstered furniture. Essential Duties Places springs in frame and ties down using the 8-way hand tie method Cover springs in seat with FLW and attaches using staple gun Installs no sags on backs of frame as needed Applies burlap fabric to arms and legs and uses staples or nails to attach burlap and metal bands Applies edge wire where needed Builds backs, installs Marshall units no sags, webbing, drop-in units, and edge roll Frequently rotates in each job functions throughout the day Attaches metal bonding underneath units by stapling onto wood surface, as appropriate Must follow all safety policies and procedures Position Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred Previous spring up/8-way hand tying experience a plus Physical Requirements The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
