Job Description

We are seeking experienced Aviation Assembly Technicians for a structural/sheet metal assembly role at a leading aerospace manufacturing facility in Kinston, NC. This position focuses on the precision assembly of aircraft structures using detailed blueprints, aerospace materials, and specialized tools. Candidates should have a strong background in aviation assembly practices and a commitment to quality and safety. Perform structural and sheet metal assembly of aircraft components including fuselage sections, panels, and frames. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions, and change notices to complete assignments. Utilize hand and power tools, rivet guns, drills, jigs, and measuring instruments to execute precise assembly operations. Conduct drilling, countersinking, sealing, and fastening using aerospace-grade materials and procedures. Inspect assemblies during and after production to ensure alignment with quality standards and specifications. Document discrepancies and maintain accurate production records. Perform rework, modifications, and incorporate changes per engineering revisions. Move materials and assemblies within the production area using designated equipment. Carry out basic equipment maintenance (e.g., filter changes, lubrication) as part of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) duties. Contribute to team success by supporting peer training and promoting continuous product flow. Work toward achieving MVP (Manufacturing Versatility Program) qualification. Perform additional duties as assigned, with training and certification provided as necessary.
