A Production Fabricator or Assembler constructs and assembles a wide range of products, such as engines, computers, aircraft, ships, boats, toys, electronic devices, and control panels, as well as the individual parts that make up these products.
Full-Time 2nd shift: 4:20pm - 2:50am Mon - Thur Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Fabrication Technician to perform complex sheet metal fabrication and machine operation in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating fabrication equipment, making minor CNC program adjustments and offsets, and producing high-quality components that meet engineering specifications and production deadlines. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in sheet metal fabrication processes. Key Responsibilities Operate safely while following all workplace safety procedures and guidelines. Set up and operate sheet metal fabrication equipment, including laser cutting and forming equipment. Perform cutting, bending, punching, drilling, deburring, and other fabrication processes according to engineering drawings and specifications. Make minor CNC program edits, offsets, and adjustments to maintain quality and production standards. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Inspect finished parts and complete required quality documentation. Maintain inventory of sheet metal and fabricated components. Safely handle raw materials and finished products while preventing damage and ensuring product quality. Organize work efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines. Assist with cross-training and mentoring less experienced team members. Maintain clean, organized work areas and perform routine equipment maintenance. Accurately record production time and material usage. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Associate degree is a plus). 3-5 years of experience operating and setting up CNC laser and sheet metal fabrication equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings. Proficient with precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and protractors. Strong understanding of fabrication tooling, work holding systems, and safe machining practices. Basic computer skills and ability to navigate Windows-based systems. Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Ability to lift at least 30 pounds and perform the physical requirements of the position.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
